Hello, beautiful Bonanzlers. My name is Reilly, and I spend my days doing everything I can to improve the general business operations of Bonanza. It’s exciting to address the familiar faces I came to know and love in my previous tenure here as a Happiness Producer.

I’m out from behind the curtain today to share some thrilling news with you. This week, Bonanza hit a major milestone when we exceeded a listing count of 20 million unique items for sale—20,006,344, to be exact, but who’s counting? I’m sure it’s evident 20 million is a big number, but allow me to elaborate. 20 million listings is more Bonanza listings than there are people living in Beijing. 20 million steps would allow you to walk across the United States three times, though, I wouldn’t recommend doing so without a stunning collection of orthopedic footwear.

When I began working for Bonanza in 2014, 20 million listings was a lofty goal we only dared to dream of. It’s an exciting time to be a part of Bonanza. We’re indebted to each of you for your contributions and invaluable feedback towards building our inventory, increasing our presence in the e-commerce community, and bringing more buyers to our site. You reap the benefits of your hard work in the form of greater name recognition and a better reputation for Bonanza, which drive more traffic towards your items.

This milestone is especially sweet when we consider that Bonanza is enjoying growth not only in terms of quantity, but in quality as well. Recently, Amy checked in with you all about the major efforts our team has been making to provide phenomenal customer support. Often when a company grows, its’ capacity to provide individualized attention shrinks. We’re not interested in letting that happen on Bonanza. Consistently, our team is hard at work enhancing the customer support experience for each of our sellers, even as our numbers increase. In fact, we’re currently adding more avenues for sellers to receive personalized attention with ease, so stay tuned for imminent updates regarding expanded live chat support.
Bonanza’s emphasis on the needs of individual users doesn’t only serve our sellers. Happy, informed sellers are better equipped to provide an effortless shopping experience for buyers, no matter the size of their booth. We hope those buyers continue to come stampeding back, with friends! Luckily, we’re always striving to help ensure buyer satisfaction. This is the sole focus of a particular, often unnoticed arm of our support team that works tirelessly to ensure the listings on Bonanza are high-quality: well-displayed, optimized for search, informative, and fulfilled by merchants who can provide the stellar level of satisfaction customers deserve.
All things considered, scaling a marketplace is quite the endeavor, and it’s thrilling to hit milestones that indicate we’re on the right track.
